Spectrum Fanshawe

Spectrum Fanshawe is a social and advocacy group for LGBTQ2+ individuals at Fanshawe College. The goal is to create a safe and positive space for LGBTQ2+ students to meet and socialize with their peers. Provides a resource list and referral system for student use. Meetings are open to current Fanshawe College students and alumni, members within the community, as well as allies.

PrideWestern is a support service for LGBTQ+ students run by the University Students’ Council (USC) at Western University. It serves as a resource and support system for students with questions regarding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, 2-Spirited, and Asexual (LGBTTQ2A) issues. The organization promotes awareness and advocacy on LGBTTQ2A issues brought about through a variety of programs, including discussion groups, social events, and awareness days.

A social-support group, run by Youth Opportunities Unlimited, for youth 16-24 years old who identify within the LGBTQ2SA+ spectrum, as well as their allies. Group meets Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30pm at The Cornerstone Building, 332 Richmond Street.

Open Closet (OC)

Social support group runs Friday night group from 7-9 pm. For youth between 14 and 18 years of age who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, queer and questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity (LGBT2Q+). Includes survival strategies, accessing community, safer sex, healthy relationships, accurate and up-to-date information about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and referrals to community services and resources.

PFLAG

PFLAG Canada London supports, educates and provides resources to LGBT2Q individuals and their families understand and accept their non-heterosexual children. Supports the “coming out” process and provides support 24/7. Group meets the third Monday of every month at the Middlesex-London Health Unit. All members of the LGBT2Q community and/or their families or friends who are looking for support are invited to attend.
